This would be very good for AoE in close range but if you wanted to attack from afar it wouldn't help you much, and it'd be as good as Cold spell for single target except you have to be close to your target. The last one I can't test because my monk is my only level 70 and they have no poison skills but the ability is called poison nova so I can assume its similar to the Andariel's Visage effect. This is good for attacking from a distance, either into a pack of monsters that it will pierce through (so a lot of AoE damage) or also into single target (not as much single target damage as the lightning). The Cold shoots a ball of frost forward that pierces through all enemies it hit.
DIABLO 3 FIRE DOGS PROC FULL
The Lightning does in fact shoot 3 bolts out and they each hit for the full damage, this is very effective on single target but less effective for AoE as they can each only hit 1 target, they do not pierce the enemy or explode. Im guess blizzard has skills in categories (damaging skills, elemental affixed skills, summoning skills)Įach of the elemental attacks seem to have different strengths and weaknesses. Probably has to do with the fact that it doesnt have any labled element and its a pet, not a skill. The top three standouts seem to be: Cluster Arrow with Grenadier passive, Impale with Sharpshooter passive, and Rapid Fire with Ballistic passive, bu. Maximus: Nothing seems to effect the damage of this demon, not even +physical damage. Im having a hard time figuring this one out. Gyana Na kashu: HArder to test as the damage range was much wider, so I had to use the dMax method to calc it but it turned out to align with the rest. The lightning from shard of hate had a long range so this was super easy to test. Tested by using FoT(no rune) and stood out of melee range. Shard of hate: Confirmed, 85~90Ks dmg all the way up to over 100K dmg per lightning bolt. Which means your Thunderfury's procs are effected by +lightning skill damage affixes.įirewalkers: Confirmer, went from doing consistent 142K/tic to 160K/tic with +fire dmg

I can assume if it works for firewalkers it probably works for the rest. Swapped from no bracers -> Bracers with +fire skill damage (and no other affixes that increased damage, just vit and all resist and pickup radius) and went from doing 142K/tic on firewalkers to doing 160K/tic on firewalkers. Put on firewalkers and nothing much else, ran through mobs, firewalkers did 142K dmg/tic Just tested this, and can confirm 100% that legendary effects that do damage count as skills and are elements of their type.
